Mate did you ever consider make a wallpaper 1920x1080 from your work like this one? It's HD work and you should consider making it, really wanna use it so bad on my desktop! :)

this is fantastic! I was wondering if you could tell me what program you used to create the planet. By the looks of it, I would guess you used photoshop's 3D sphere feature. I am having loads of trouble getting the hang of that feature, especially the lighting.

yeah, i think i used that feature. it was pretty long ago though and i dont have the same version at the moment, so i cant help much. however, i would recommend that you use a real 3d program like 3ds max if you want the best results. its a bit more complicated but more straight ahead and it doesn't take hours to render a sphere like it did for me :P
